National Poetry Month – Spring on April 1

This Spring is waking me up again,
My dogwood is about to bloom.
I see pink like I’ve never seen it before,
Petals fall like the snow
But soft! And they do not melt.
Swirling, flurries dance around me,
I breathe in and it doesn’t hurt.
Who cares about the allergies, bugs, or humidity?
The dark retreats, and we’re alive.

Love the last line. Good luck with NaPoWriMo. I’m having fun with mine.
