It rained today,
Clouds loomed dark and grey,
But safe inside eating ham and cheese,
I counted my blessings again.
I am not soggy, or chilled,
I am not caught in the downpour,
Splashing through oily puddles,
Or picking my way through the mud.
I sit here warm and dry,
Sipping apple juice,
With so many things to be thankful for
That I hardly know where to start.
